OC Flyers find new females

The Orange County Flyers, a team in the Independent Baseball League, held cheerleading try-outs at California State University, Fullerton's Goodwin Field this weekend.

Out of the 16 women auditioning - ages ranging from 18 to 28 - 12 were hired by the Flyers to be on their Victory Girls squad.

This group of women represents the team during charity events, games and other community activities for the full 2009 season.

Fullerton College alumna, Kaity Blair, was one of the three returning Victory Girls who described the try-out process as "exciting" and that she "feeds off the other girls' energy" as she auditioned.

All three of the returning Victory Girls were chosen to participate on the squad again.

Contestant No. 8 Rebecca White, and No. 13 Breanne Nagy , were among the returning girls who look forward to a great season.

First-time contestant No. 9 Michele Aurelio was also welcomed to the squad and is excited for the experience.
