Radiation Records, located at 1501 E. Raymond Ave., Suite P, is one of the only two record stores near Fullerton. It is a small store located just off the 91 in an industrial area.

With just a glance at the store from the outside, one would personify it to be a skate shop.

Owner Nat Hall says this store is unique "due to the fact that there are only two record stores left in Fullerton." The other is Black Hole Records located at 108 N. Harbor Blvd.

Its main genr consists of punk, oi, hardcore, and ska labels. The store also has an online database where items can be ordered at pukenvomitrecords.com. This allows customers who shop at the store to order CDs from locations all over the world.

The records in the store are in most cases, very rare. The website enables people to find out if the store carries something they are looking for without actually having to go there. It was established in 1995 and carries just about every punk rock record imaginable.

Radiation is classified as record store directed towards punk rock music as well as rock apparels. The store sells everything form bondage pants and creeper shoes to custom made patches and records.

"The clothing found in this store is unique," said local punker Brittney "Sqeek" Mcleen.

The atmosphere inside is creative, as you can "find everything you need to make your own unique clothing."

Overall, Mcleen described the stores as aa local store because "[the same] people are usually there."

One must be a fan of music and self-expression to appreciate the atmosphere and contents of this store. It is a small dark store on the inside.

The tinted windows are covered with various posters. The record store is encumbered with clothes hanging from wall to wall and records piled in tables in the center of the room.

Shirts can be custom-made if the store does not already have what you are looking for.

If you can't find what you're looking for, you may be able to find the materials to make it.

This is the place to go if you are searching for something that other rock-based stores do not carry.

A local punker, who goes by the street name Spits said, "This is the only true punk rock store left."

Hall said that their records "can't be found at Best Buy or Tower, we get imports from Brazil, Spain, all over the world."

Radiation also has reasonably low prices compared to their consumer record store counterparts.

This store may be small, but is filled with enough music to keep you looking through bins full of records and rows of t-shirts all day.

This record store is the place to shop for anyone looking for good music.
