Every year the art department holds an annual Student Art Exhibition to display the best work of the year for all to see. This year's show has many great peaces of art ranging from both 3D to 2D art.

While walking amongst the many great pieces of art, I stumbled upon a man looking at the artwork with the look of a professional.

I approached him to ask what he thought of the exhibition; he then revealed that he was an instructor for the sculpting class. "There's peaces that are done so well that you can't even tell the difference between this and stuff in a professional gallery" said Scott Gross sculpting instructor.

"I'm just impressed by the quality that comes out of not just our sculpting classes but the [other art classes] that shows real talent."

As we made our way around the different exhibits Gross would tell a story for almost every peace of art in the gallery.

One particular sculpture that caught my eye while walking around was an enlarged shotgun shell humorously called "Heavy Artillery" created by Casey Cramer.

I asked Gross how the student created the shell sculpture, thinking it was molded. I was proven wrong when I was told it was a trash can before reaching the exhibition.

"Honestly that shell was a plastic trash can. So we started with that, and then I showed him about heating it up to bend it in." said Gross.

When walking in the art exhibition you can truly see works of art that look very professionally made. I was amazed at the level of detail that the artists were able to display.

When you get a chance stop by the 1000 Building and visit the amazing art work that is on display.
