Just by looking at their Myspace page, one can tell that He's Not Gay, is a fun loving band, whose image portrays all the ingredients one would need to cook up a super rad group.

The best way to describe these Fullerton based power-pop punks would be to say that they are light hearted, easy going and colorfully inventive musicians, with a drive to make a positive mark on the independent music scene.

Their style is an original compilation of musical sounds that intertwine cohesively to create an interesting assortment of power-pop-electronic-thirdwave punk.

In short, it's a pleasant fusion of sounds that can make any listener's day a little brighter.

The band has played with several big names on the scene and were recently featured on Scratch Magazines latest MP3 music sampler CD.

Since then the band has been hard at work recording and playing for audiences all over California, traveling as far as San Francisco to grace the stage.

The three front women Merilou Salazar, Jessie Meehan and Randi custodio are full of energy and confident about the band's success. They are also happy to give a history about the origin of the band's name, explaining that it comes from a play on the fact that the drummer (James Casil) is not only the sole male member of the band but he is also the only straight one. One of their goals is to share a positive message with people.

"We just want people to have fun and enjoy a unique sound," Salazar said.

"Our music is really upbeat and happy and we want to give people an alternative to trashy, degrading material," said Meehan.
