The hypnotist show started with a joke and ended with a striptease.

The Associated Students welcomed Hypnotist Suzy Haner to Fullerton College yesterday in the College Center from noon - 1 p.m., providing embarrassment for some and laughs for all.

"It was great," said Gina McIntyre, an anthropology student. "All I can remember is her talking."

The show started with Haner performing a short comedic act and poking fun at the audience. She then invited people to the stage to be hypnotized.

McIntyre's boyfriend, Jesse Saunders, A.S. senator, initially went up front, but did not take to Haner's methods and was asked to go back to his seat. However, he still enjoyed the performance.

"It was funny and good to watch," he said. More than 80 people gathered to watch Haner, who has been entertaining people for 15 years, perform at FC for the first time in approximately five years.

One of the most entertaining moments came at the end, when Haner compelled her male subjects to be adult dancers and perform for men in the audience.

One of the dancers, Terry Stinson, took off his shirt and began rubbing against a fellow student, Palak Shah.

"I was a stripper trying to make money for my kids," Stinson said jokingly. Shah was enthused by the show, as well as a little disturbed by the climax of the event. "It was hilarious, I have never laughed so hard," Shah said. "The dancing creeped me out at first, but I enjoyed it."

Stinson was also fooled to think he was laying an egg, which he subsequently breast fed after it hatched into a chicken.

Haner said she loves seeing the faces of the students during her performances and enjoys the atmosphere at FC.

"I love coming here," Haner said. "It is so beautiful here and the students are wonderful."
