Call of Duty improves the level of fun

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" is Activision's newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise. The latest version of Modern Warfare is not much different from its predecessor, other than the fact that the details are much tighter and sharper and the storyline revolves around World War 3.

As a member of various countries Special Forces team, you enter a variety of stages of strategic battles in World War 3.  The story of the game is about a Russian terrorist, Makarov, who has started World War 3 and you're on a mission to kill him.  In Modern Warfare 2, Makarov's terrorist group, dressed as Americans, blatantly shot Russians in a Russian airport.  As a result, Russia was determined to start a war against America.  This eventually turned into World War 3, and in the game, you play as a different ally to different countries.  The bulk of your missions will be spent as a Delta Force operative, but you will also be able to play many different characters.

Call of Duty's famous online multiplayer mode was slightly changed in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to include different strike packages.  The strike packages differ in how they work, not necessarily what they offer.  The three strike packages are as follows: Assault, Support, and Specialist.  The Assault is relatively the same, but Support is geared more toward the player that isn't as aggressive because the streaks continue even though you may die.  Finally, the Specialist is geared toward very talented players, where perks are your rewards.

Survival Mode, which mimics "Zombie Mode" from previous Call of Duty titles, like "World at War" and "Black Ops," can be found in Modern Warfare 3.  In Survival Mode, you progress through different levels of enemies.  The purpose of the mode is to try to progress though as many waves of enemies as possible until you die.   

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" introduced a new weapon level-up system in which you can increase the power of your weapon as you use it more and more over time. Unlike before where as you leveled up, you would unlock weapon attachment and perks.

The storyline in the Campaign Mode will leave you speechless.  With the new additions and features, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 makes for one of the best games this year.
