Designated smoking areas are shot down

"The decision keeps Fullerton College as a smoke-free campus?" HA! Laws are only as good as they are enforceable - anyone who think FC is a smoke free campus doesn't ever spend time on campus. If "President Dr. Sam Schauerman" wasn't obviously just another out-of-touch pawn of the NOCCCD bureaucracy, then he'd know that not having designated smoking areas forces smokers to smoke around everyone else! Plus, there's no where to throw their cigarettes - except the ground (otherwise they'd have to pinch the ends off then throw them in the trash because throwing them in the trash might cause a fire - and most smokers just aren't bright enough to know that)!

I don't like people smoking on campus any more than anyone else. But despite the "smoke free" campus policy, a lot of people still smoke - and that will never change. Not having designated smoking areas amounts to punishing non-smokers by forcing smokers to smoke around non-smokers. Anyway, if the designated-smoking area plan doesn't work, then it can always be repealed. You know, why don't we just Try it at least?

Anyway, thanks FC - Thank you for forcing smokers to smoke their cigarettes around me and forcing them to throw their cigarettes on the ground simply to uphold an unenforceable policy because you're too closed-minded to look at things from an objective viewpoint.
