The Associated Student organization and the Inter-Club Council will be holding the annual Halloween Contest for Cash event tomorrow on the campus quad.

Beginning in 1986, this traditional festivity will include an ICC Pie Eating Contest. The first place winner of the pie-eating contest will receive a cash prize.

In continuation with tradition, the event will be holding a costume contest for students and staff. The first, second and third place winners of the costume-judging contest will get $75, $50 and $25 respectively.

AS vice president Gary Suharli is in charge of the event’s costume contest, declaring he is looking forward to it.

“I think that this year’s event will be a great success if a lot of students dress up and enter the contest,” Suharli said.

According to Suharli, the panel of judges includes an administrator, a faculty member, two students and a member of classified staff.

“It’ll be a fun filled and spirited event,” said Darlene Jensen, AS director. “It’s always one of the highlights of the fall semester.”

Both festive activities will begin at 11:50 a.m. and will run until about 12:30 p.m. Prospective competitors must sign-up in the quad beginning at 10 a.m.

Only FC staff and current students with identification cards are allowed to participate in this gala.
