New semester structure impacts scheduling

  Faculty and administrators of the North Orange County Community College District are working together to create a schedule that will accommodate to students, staff and the shorter 16-week semester that will begin fall 2012.  "We are required by the state to provide 18 hours of instruction per unit.

Free academic services ensure a successful semester

Students have the opportunity to make the final two weeks of the fall semester easier than they may have thought possible. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of free services that can help maximize positive results on final exams.     Services can be found in the Tutoring Center, the Writing Center and in the Library.

Students, teachers and staff members attended the first Conversation Circle, Muslim in America on Nov 17. The event was hosted by the Cadena Cultural Center, Muslim students as well as students from other nationalities and backgrounds shared and asked questions.

Director of the transfer center leaves FC

Students at Fullerton College will not be negatively impacted by the departure of Cadena Transfer Center Director Lily Espinoza. Espinoza ended her career at Fullerton College on November 23. She was the director and a major resource to students and staff at the CTC since April 2008.

Enrollment fees at Cal States continue to rise

The Cal State University Board of Trustees voted 9 to 6 Wednesday for a 9% tuition increase for fall 2012   The current annual college tuition is $5,472. Beginning fall 2012, it will increase to $5,970, a $498 per year.   Beto Lopez, public relations major, will be impacted by the increase of tuition because he is hoping to transfer to San Jose State University.
