Updated 2-20-06 I Give Up...? Well folks after a long slumber I'm back to tell you that if the 60s have taught us anything it's that youth-generated idealistic movements are bound to collapse in on themselves sooner or later. Once your ideals or philosophies are neatly summed up by a slogan on a T-shirt or a bumper sticker it went too far.
Instead, I'd like to focus on other issues such as the mouse problem in the 500 building. That's one mouse dilemma that's not modest (sorry, I couldn't help myself).
Here's a possible solution: The science department needs "subjects" for experiments and since kidnapping children from the Child Care Center is out of the question, the mice would work well. Also, the cafeteria needs to employ every cost-cutting measure that is available to bring us food at the lowest prices and well... I've never knowingly eaten rodent before, but I suspect that somewhere in that McDonald's cheeseburger there is a hint of Stewart Little.
Think about it. We could turn this negative situation into a cure for some horrible disease or we could knock back the price of the grill special (which have kept me nourished for a couple of semesters) from $3.75 to oh, I don't know... $3
12-08-05 A Lesson in FOXTHINK: Taking "Christ" out of "Christmas" As I flipped through the picture box in the wee hours of the morning a couple of nights ago, I came across The O'Reilley Factor.
At times I don't know whether to laugh or toss something at the screen. Here's a gem of a quote from the "Talking Points" (which sort of remind me of the way ants have follow a chemical trail in order to navigate... don't stray from the talking points or you'll get lost) aaaaand roll tape: "Outside of the war on terror, this culture war is the most important thing happening in the country today."
Sure buddy, whatever you say.
