The Men's Water Polo team shone in the Mt. SAC tournament which took place September 15-16. They left with a record of 3-1 and came in 5th place overall in the tournament. LA Valley was the only team who managed to defeat them, 2 points up. They defeated, Chaffey 12-5, Santa Ana 11-8, and University of Arizona 12-7. The team played a consistent game overall.

Captain Matt Morrison, Charlie Gallagher and Steven Schrager led the team offensively and were the main contributors to the teams attack in the tournament. Goaltender Mike Haymer led their team defensively blocking many of the attempts by the opposing teams. Morrison came out of the tournament with 12 assists and and 14 goals. Haymer followed closely behind with 37 goalie saves.

This tournament was an improvement from their game against the pirates. In their game versus Orange Coast College, which took place on the 13th, the Fullerton College Men's Water Polo team faced disappointment after losing their first game. They were defeated 13-15 in what was not just their first game, but a conference game as well.

Led by Morrison (10), the team played hard but struggled defensively throughout the first half of the game. Morrison was the leading scorer with 3 goals. Goalie Mike Haymer was one of the shining players blocking 12 attempts from the opposing team.

Although they improved throughout the game, they were not able to pull it together in time. The team did not give up; they were merely beat by the clock.

Fullerton played hard scoring 4 points in the second period and two points in the third. This is the exact number of shots scored by the pirates in those periods. Personal fouls and lack of offense were not in their favor this game. The score was close throughout most of the game, but Fullerton never led in points.

The chemistry in the water was there, but it just did not happen for them. With hard practice and
determination, the men should have no problem doing better in their next game. The next opportunity for victory will be in their
upcoming game on the 21st against Chapman.
