Fullerton Volleyball obtained its fifth victory of the season on the road at Mt. San Antonio. It was a close match 30-27, 31-29, 30-26.

Both teams displayed equal strength in a match that was full of long rallies and momentum that would not sway either way. In the first game, the Mounties (2-3) lead with kills from outside hitter Myra Lealaitafea, who ended with 19 kills on the night. However, Fullerton was right on the Mounties heels, until the Hornets came on in the end to take the first game.

The second game was closer than the first; it mirrored the first game, when the Mounties lead the way. Fullerton (5-2) then pulled even at 27, which forced a Mt. SAC timeout. The two teams were tied at 29, when the Hornets took the initiative, and the second game, 31-29.

The Mounties were tough on the defensive side of the ball, middle blocker Jennifer Daigle had five blocks, and libero Amber Herrera had 25 digs.
The Hornets countered with outside hitter Chris Nihipali, doing it on both sides of the ball, 12 kills and 21 digs. Setter Jessica Stehle contributed to the attack with 34 assists.

The third game started with both teams swapping the lead back and forth, with neither team able to take charge. At one point Fullerton squandered a three-point lead, only later to have Mt. SAC surrender a five-point lead.

The Hornets started to pull away from the Mounties with four quick kills from outside hitter Lindsay Laakso. That again forced a Mt. SAC timeout, which allowed a Mounties rally to pull within two points of the Hornets. Fullerton then called a timeout, to collect not only the team, but also the game and match.
