"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." This is the very famous catchphrase that the city of Las Vegas has used for the last few years to attract more tourists to the neon-encrusted streets of the desert oasis.

While this phrase is typically used to promote gambling, drinking and general whoring about town, it apparently cannot be used to justify armed robbery.

O.J. Simpson is back in our lives once again. We were all anticipating the announcement that he would be starring in the movie version of his book "If I Did It" when we saw his name in the headlines, but this was not the case. Simpson is being held without bail because he allegedly broke into a man's hotel room with several armed men and stole back property that was once his.

How could he possibly steal what at one time belonged to him? Granted, the property he attempted to reclaim was taken away after he was found guilty in civil court for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, but now we're just splitting hairs.

How can anyone possibly believe that the man who has spent the last 12 years of his life hunting down his ex-wife's true killer could possibly be capable of armed robbery? He's the Juice, for crying out loud. The man is a Hall of Fame running back and a Heisman trophy winner. The man breaks records, not laws.

Accusing the Juice of armed robbery is like accusing a Super Bowl-winning NFL head coach of cheating. Sure, there are witnesses that said Simpson entered the room with a few armed men and took several of his former possessions. But who are you going to believe, a legitimate business man who makes his living auctioning items that do not belong to him or the Juice?

Just take a look at the man's character. Even after being put through a lengthy trial filled with DNA evidence, an assumed faulty alibi and having to listen to his attorney think of new rhymes to say before every hearing, Simpson still dedicated the rest of his life to finding his ex-wife's real killer. He's a humanitarian. Humanitarians don't steal things.

The Juice has a hard enough life as it is without people randomly deciding they are going to accuse him of breaking into places and partaking in illegal activities.

The next time you feel like you need a scapegoat, maybe you should look at people like the man accusing the Juice. How did he get a hold of Simpson's property in the first place?

Not only has Simpson been falsely accused, but he has been mistreated by the cops and prematurely convicted by the media. By now most have seen or heard Simpson's vulgar proclamation of innocence. But he was goaded into his angry tirade and the media filmed his reaction. His reaction was angry. But who wouldn't be angry if they were just arrested for stealing their own belongings?
Despite the negative portrayal and unfair treatment, Simpson will find a way to prevail, he always does. After all, he's the Juice.
