The Workforce Center's job fair took place on the campus quad last Wednesday. The quad was crowded with job-seekers and potential employers who set up their booths under white tents.

Music played throughout the event and energy drinks were handed out to thirsty students.

The atmosphere lasted until the closing of the job fair, even though things started slowing down by noon. As hundreds of students filled the quad, they had a variety of company booths to visit and submit their resume to. Diversity was one of the strengths of this semester's job fair, with companies ranging from the Orange County Sheriff's Department to Carl's Jr.

Despite this diversity, job-seeker Amanda Machuca said she wished there were more hospitals or medical field companies present at the job fair. In spite of this, Machuca says she will come back to next semester's job fair if she is still in need of a job.

"The employers gave out a lot of information and there were a lot of good companies that I would want to work for," Machuca said.

Employers were also pleased with the job fair. "The atmosphere is wonderful," said Lynette Wilson, from Bank of America.

"Although I am out of my comfort zone, I would love to come back."

Regardless of small drawbacks, the job fair was a success.

Students flocked to the quad to visit the various companies set up in booths. Job-seekers were able to apply, drop off their resume, and interview for positions that interested them. Students considered the fair a success.
