Lady Hornets Hog Tie Rustlers
Fullerton never let up on the pressure and dispacthed Golden West in 4 sets.

The South gym was the seen of a long, intense game between two of the state's best teams, and the Lady Hornets emerged triumphant Friday night (28-30, 30-27, 30-27, 30-28).
All of the sets were extremely close. After Fullerton (12-3, 5-2) dropped the first set, the team found its focus and battled point for point against the Rustlers to eventually take the match.
There was a scary moment in set 4 when Fullerton had the match in hand. Golden West (12-3, 5-2) refused to go away and put up 8 points unanswered before the Lady Hornets put them away. The match ended on a controversial call according to the Rustlers Head Coach Rick McLaughlin. His team exited the gym very quickly after the argued point stood.
Outside hitter Nicole Coffer had 20 kills and Gina Conley had 15. Setter Katie Adams assisted on 58 points for the Lady Hornets. For complete coverage, pick up a copy of The Hornet this Wednesday.
