When the wildfires rain ash like snowflakes for miles in a every direction it is sometimes more prudent to pick up the ball, not run, and just relax indoors.

That's exactly what the Hornet outdoor sports teams elected to do this weekend.

Football has canceled its game against Long Beach this evening. No make up has been scheduled.

The women's soccer team postponed it's game against Santiago Canyon yesterday. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday October 31.

The Orange Empire Conference Cross Country Championships were canceled as well. The conference championship will be folded into the Southern California Championship event, which will be held next Saturday at Irvine Regional Park. Non-conference teams will be removed from the scoring, and then the meet will be rescored to determine the OEC champion.

Please check back periodically for new developments and updates.
