Road Trip Nation pulls into Fullerton College tomorrow to share its experiences in the professional world as well as teach students how to succeed.
The green RV will be parked in Staff Lot A along Chapman Avenue for students to checkout and learn what RTN is all about. As well as the RV, RTN will have a tent set up in the quad.
The project started when four friends just out of college, couldn't decide what they wanted to do in life. They borrowed a parents RV and painted it green and went on the road to find and talk to professionals in different fields.
RTN takes people around the country to talk about the different professional world. They talk to individuals who have made a career for themselves and share their experiences to help them figure out what they want in life. They help you pick options.
Since the first RTN outing, they have come out with three books, and have now become a PBS series. There is now an online community and a entire student movement going.
The event is being held by the Career and Life Planning Center tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"I support them 100 percent and encourage students to see them so they can get a taste of the professional world." Said Janine Cirrito Career Center coordinator.
Roadies from RTN will be giving a presentation in Room 228 at 3 p.m. They will share with FC students the experiences they have had with RTN. They will also share interviews they have had with professionals in varies fields, as well as interviewing skills students can use.
"[RTN] is a part of the career planning process of helping students," Cirrito said. "[RTN] is a catalyst to help students find out where they want to go in life."
Cirrito also shared that she believes that students should explore every venue available to help them in their journey to find out what they want to do in life.
If anyone has any questions on RTN or the career planning process Cirritos urges everyone to stop by.
The Career and Life Planning Center is in the student services building on the second floor.
